Risk matrixes are a useful way to show graphically the ranges in which risks are acceptable, tolerable and unacceptable. Here is an excel sheet that automates the computation of ranges.
Risk matrixes are usually displayed with colors where:
- Green if for acceptable risks,
- Yellow or orange is for tolerable risks, or risks under control,
- Red is for unacceptable risks.

The Risk Matrix Calculator automates the coloration of the matrix with the levels of acceptable, tolerable and unacceptable risks.
Try it, you will play with it!
Note: It won't help you to define the semantics behind the colors !
